Gula Melaka Butter Cake

150g butter
40g caster sugar
2 A eggs
130g LP flour, sifted
1 tsp baking powder, sifted
0.5 tsp baking soda
50g gula melaka+40ml water, cook until melted.
                                                                             

1. Place the butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer and beat until light and creamy.
2. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition. After well combine, slightly increase speed and add melted gula melaka and beat for 1 minute till fluffy.
3. Add the flour and baking powder (sifted together) and beat well to combine.
4. Pour the batter into the 7x3" cake tin (greased with butter).
5. Tap the tin to remove any air bubbles.
6. Bake at preheated oven at 180c for 30-35 mins or until a skewer insert and come out clean.
