Cheesy Lemon Butter Cake

75g cream cheese
200g butter
130g caster sugar
3 A eggs
1 tsp vanilla extra
160g LP flour, sifted
1 1/2tsp baking powder, sifted
0.5 tsp baking soda
35g sour cream
15ml lemon juice
1/2-1 lemon zest

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)                                                                            

1. Place the cream cheese and beat until smooth. Then add butter, sugar and vanilla and beat until light and creamy.
2. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition. After well combine, slightly increase speed and add lemon zest and sour cream and beat for 1 minute till fluffy.
3. Add the flour and baking powder (sifted together) and beat well to combine, fold lemon juice alternately and combine well.
4. Pour batter into the 6/7' cake tin (greased with butter). Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Tap the tin to remove any air bubbles.
6. Bake at preheated oven at 180c for 50-55mins or until a skewer insert and come out clean.
