Wang Wang & Cherry Blossom Butter Cookies - 旺犬迎春,恭喜发财。







Ingredient
Method
125g butter
80g caster sugar
1 B egg yolks
85g LP flour
40g HP flour
60g Corn flour
25g custard powder
1 tbsp milk powder

few drop red food coloring

Cherry Blossom Topping: Red cherries, cut into small pieces

Doggie:
some red food coloring (for nose and tongue),
some cocoa powder (for ears),
some black sesame seeds (for eyes).

1. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Beat in egg yolks and fold in flour mixture to make a soft dough.
3. Divide into two portions, 1st portion mix with red food coloring and the last portion remain as plain.
4. To create cherry blossom: Pipe rosettle with plain and red dough and top with sliced cherry. To create doggie: refer to the image showed.
5. Bake at 180C for 10-15 minutes.
