Homemade Black Sesame Paste

200g black sesame seeds, roasted
200-250g honey


1. In a small pan, roast whole black sesame seeds over medium heat. Constantly shake the pan back and forth so that the sesame seeds do not burn. Roast for about 2 minutes. 2. Remove pan from heat and set aside until cool completely.
3. Once the sesame seeds have cooled to room temperature, grind the black sesame seeds by food processor. It takes some time for sesame seeds to secrete oil, but be patient.
4. When the sesame seeds are finely ground and become moist from natural sesame oil, add honey and mix all together.
5. Best if used immediately but the paste may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
