150g butter
165g AP flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1.5 tsp baking powder
150g caster sugar
3 A eggs 40g milk
55g Sour Cream
1tsp vanilla essence flavor: 15g cocoa powder+20ml hot water 2tsp coffee powder +5ml hot water |
1. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda.
2. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy, light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing each until fully incorporated.
4. Slowly add the dry ingredients, alternately with milk until well combined.
5. Add vanilla essence and sour cream and beat on low speed until blended.
6. Divide the batter into 3 equal portions, 1st portion mix with coffee mixture; 2nd portion mix with cocoa mixture and the last portion remain as plain batter. 7. Spoon the cocoa batter into 4*8" prepared pan, alternately with coffee batter and plain batter until finished. Smear the batter to create marble effect. 8. Bake @ 170C for first 30min, carefully use a knife to cut a line at the middle of surface, send back to oven and continue bake for another 25-35 minutes or until cooked. |
