Chocolate Cake: 195g cake flour 290g caster sugar 50g Cocoa powder 8g black cocoa powder 1.5 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 100g beaten egg (2 kampung eggs) 185g homemade buttermilk 160g vegetable oil 1.5 tsp vanilla 165g boiling water | Chocolate Cake: 1. Preheat the oven to 180C. Prepare one 8″ heart cake pan by greasing and flouring them. 2. Add all dry ingredients to a large bowl and whisk together. 3. Add eggs, buttermilk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and mix well. 4. Add vanilla to boiling water and add to mixture. Mix well. 5. Pour into cakes pan and bake at 180C for about 70-80 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs. 6. Remove cakes from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then remove to cooling racks to cool completely.
7. Slice the cake into three layers, and cut the edge around to create 7" layer of heart cake.

cookies and cream frosting: (may reserve for topping decoration) ~1.5* of swiss buttercream flavour A: 80g mashed Oreo cookies flavour B: 60g vanilla sandwich filling 20g full milk/heavy cream 90g cream cheese ~8 Oreo cookies, ~some crushed choc cake for decoration the edge | 1. Microwave the vanilla filling and milk (Flavour B) for 1-2 minutes until vanilla filling melted. 2. Beat the cream cheese until smooth and then add the vanila milk mixture and continue beat until well combined. Set aside 3. Divide the buttercream into two portions, 1 big (abt 350g) and 1 small (abt 280g) portions. 4. Fold the smashed cookies (Flavour A) into the prepared small portion buttercream until well.
5. For making vanilla cheese buttercream: one spoonful at a time, gradually add big portion of buttercream into whipped cheese mixture, beat on the medium-low speed until well combined.

Assembly
1. Place first layer of cake on cake plate. Spread 1/2 of the vanilla milk frosting on top in an even layer.
2. Add second layer of cake and add the rest of the vanilla milk frosting on top in an even layer. 3. Add final layer of cake on top and frost the outside of the cake with oreo crumb frosting. 4. Finish cake off with chopped Oreos and crumbs, if desired. |
